Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Part 1 Architectural Assistant to gain hands-on experience across diverse projects in retail, cinema, leisure, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will assist in the design and development of architectural projects from concept through to completion. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work on a variety of innovative projects that challenge your skills and creativity.
Duties
- Support senior architects with design development and project delivery.
- Produce drawings and presentations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
- Assist with surveys, research, and concept design.
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and present design concepts.
- Support the team in various aspects of construction documentation and system design.
Experience
- A recently qualified Part 1 with strong design and technical ability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with construction processes, CAD standards, and schematic development is highly desirable.
- Previous experience or internships within an architectural firm is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
