Trainee Auditor in Knowsley

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Auditor to join our Client Services team. The Client Services department aims to provide the Company’s customer base with prompt, accurate and insightful operational updates concerning the movement of consignments of material around the world, along with static operations such as auditing. With a keen focus on customer service, the department seeks to ensure the client receives proactive guidance and information that facilitates their commercial transactions via activities such as the reporting of accurate weights and acquisition of representative samples by the in-field teams and the accurate reporting of onsite audit findings. The end-to-end process involves the quotation of services, acknowledgement of appointment, facilitating internal communication with AHK’s overseas entities, information and incident updating and final reporting of job details.

Key Responsibilities

• To work in compliance with the company quality management system and, where applicable, the International Standard BS EN ISO 17020:2012.
• To have a thorough understanding of, and to work in compliance with the company impartiality and confidentiality policies.
• Delivery of first-class customer service with a ‘right first time’ approach.
• Proactively contribute to the continued achievement of departmental KPI’s and SLA’s by closely managing your own performance to achieve departmental and business expectations.
• Manage key client accounts as allocated by your line manager and in line with client SLAs.
• Ensure accurate and timely communications between internal and external clients, including job updates, final reports and invoices.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the ITAD and Vault Auditing (Circular Economy) processes along with relevant industry practices and standards, in particular those applicable to your elected clients, industries, materials and locations.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of industry specific (internal and external) audit activities and relevant industry specific practices and standards.
• Develop an appreciation of potential operational risks specific to your elected clients, materials and locations.
• Demonstrate a competent understanding of first class customer service expectations.
• Demonstrate effective and efficient problem prevention and resolution skills.
• Be able to assess the feasibility of new appointments and demonstrate an appreciation of potential risks, and act in a way that protects the interests of both the business and client.
• Demonstrate a competent understanding of OSCAR and associated systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive approach to first class customer service delivery.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Desire to achieve accuracy and deliver excellent customer service at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Certified BS EN ISO 17020 Internal Auditor or willing to complete the necessary training.
• Certified R2v3 Auditor or willing to complete the necessary training.
• GCSE grade A – C English, Math and Science.
• Willingness to complete one or more of the following as required; ISO 9001 - QMS (Internal or Lead Auditor), ISO 27001 - Information Security (Internal or Lead Auditor), ISO 14001 - Environmental Management (Internal or Lead Auditor), ISO 45001 - Health and Safety (Internal or Lead Auditor).

Travel

Willing to travel overseas to conduct onsite audits and deliver training to colleagues across the group.
