We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join our team in Liverpool, UK. Under the guidance of the Group H&S Manager, the Environmental Advisor will focus primarily on upholding the ISO14001 certification for AHK North West Laboratories, assisted by the existing H&S Team. The role will also contribute to the Company’s Project Quartz initiative to develop and implement Group Environmental Procedures across Alfred H Knight’s global operations.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
- Essential ability to identify and engage stakeholders
- Ability to influence positive change where required
- Capability of adaptive problem solving and conflict resolution to ensure compliance
- Understanding of UK environmental legislation
- 5+ years in an HSE role, preferably within a similar industry
- Experience managing an EMS in a previous role
- Broad understanding of environmental risk assessment, aspects & impacts, etc.
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO standards would be an advantage
- IOSH membership is standard; EMA or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent environmental‑specific qualification
The role may involve prospective travel as it progresses.
