Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join the team at our global Head Office in Prescot. As a Commercial Analyst within Alfred H Knight’s Agriculture division, you will play a key role in improving commercial visibility, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening execution across the commercial lifecycle. This is an opportunity to join a growing global business line where you will work across commercial, operational, and financial activities to help drive structured growth and improve performance. The role is suited to an individual who is analytical, commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Commercial awareness: Strong commercial mindset with the ability to improve sales performance through structured analysis, pipeline visibility, and disciplined execution.
  • Analytical capability: Strong ability to analyse trends, risks, and opportunities, translating data and research into actionable commercial insight.
  • Commercial reporting & modelling: Experience producing and maintaining sales pipeline, including basic financial modelling such as pricing, margin analysis, and business case support.
  • Commercial coordination: Comfortable working across sales, finance, and operational teams to coordinate bids, proposals, and commercial initiatives.
  • Technical proficiency: Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Proactive Approach: A self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and move initiatives forward.
  • Detail-oriented: A focus on accuracy, clarity, and delivering logical, decision-useful outputs.
  • Communication & stakeholder management: Confident communicator, able to engage and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders and regions.

Required Work Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial, analytical, or finance-related role.
  • Experience in data analysis and translating research into market intelligence is essential.
  • Exposure to sales environments or commercial pipeline management is preferred.

Required Qualifications

A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Economics, Business, or a similar field would be advantageous but not essential.
