Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor - Global Support to join our Group People Team in Knowsley. You will be part of a thriving Global People department that strives to support Alfred H Knight and its people to achieve our aims by having the right people in the right place at the right time with the right skills.

This role acts as a conduit between our Group People Team, Global People Teams, various support function stakeholders and Senior Leaders across the Group. You will be responsible for coordinating talent management initiatives and mobility to help build sustainable talent pipelines and ensure long-term organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management: working closely with People Development to facilitate talent management initiatives including succession planning and the Global Graduate Programme.
  • Mobility: working with local People Teams to ensure our employees have a smooth transition when moving across the global entities. Ensuring that we comply with local employment regulations and immigration and visa requirements.
  • Support to new commercial projects: Provide advisory support to newly established commercial locations, ensuring smooth operational set-up and compliance with local employment regulations.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement people policies and processes that support our international operations and ensure best practices.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

Required Knowledge and Work Experience:

  • Proven HR experience operating within an international environment or as part of a global team.
  • Proven track record of coordinating talent management initiatives including Global Graduate programmes.
  • Knowledge of immigration law and visa requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced matrix structure with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Experience driving global ways of working whilst balancing local/in country requirements.

Required Competencies:

  • Planning & Organising: Ability to set clearly defined objectives, manage time effectively, and monitor performance against deadlines.
  • Presenting and Communicating Information: Speaks fluently, expresses key points clearly, and projects credibility with the ability to influence others.

  • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations: Focuses on customer needs, works systematically, and consistently achieves project goals.
  • Collaboration: A strong team player with a diplomatic approach who prioritises knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in HR, Business, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred.
  • Occasional overseas travel is required for this role.
