Alfred H Knight has a rewarding opportunity for a Business Analysis Lead to join our Technology department at our global Head Office in Prescot, Liverpool. We are looking for a versatile and grounded leader who is motivated by the satisfaction of fixing problems and delivering meaningful business outcomes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the balance of leading and coaching a team while remaining hands-on with key projects. You will be a champion of best practices, empowering your team by providing the space they need to grow while setting a high standard through your own delivery.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Empowering Leadership: Ability to lead the Business Analysis "Chapter," providing mentorship, coaching, and career development to a team of BAs.
- Analytical Excellence: A strong, evidence-based approach to understanding problem domains and creating clear recommendations for change.
- Methodology & Standards: A deep understanding of the BA role in both Agile and Waterfall environments, with experience using modelling languages like UML and BPMN.
- Project Lifecycle: Experience leading workshops, capturing user stories/use cases, and managing the UAT phase to ensure solutions meet agreed outcomes.
Required Competencies
- Maturity & Motivation: A positive attitude toward change and a passion for creating practical, effective solutions.
- Collaborative Communicator: Ability to engage with everyone from senior management to technical developers, addressing concerns and building agreement.
- Resilience: Comfortable working under pressure across multiple projects within agreed timeframes.
Required Work Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a business analysis role or carrying out related activities.
- Proven experience working alongside stakeholders to shape business cases and feasibility studies.
- Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with tools such as Asana or Jira is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- BCS certifications are preferred.
