Cargo Superintendent in Immingham

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Cargo Superintendent to join our team in Immingham. Your main focus will be to oversee the discharge (or loading) of cargoes, monitoring/ auditing client storage locations and working part of the Drax contract team to undertake cargo sampling (both mechanical and manual) and sample preparation duties.

Shift Pattern – 12 hour shift system basis, working a mix of days and nights.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Competencies

• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly inform others
• Excellent administrative skills with experience of writing reports
• Strong relationship building skills internally and externally
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing prioritie

Required Work Experience

• Experience of working in shipping/ports

Required Qualifications

• Valid Clean UK Driving Licence

Travel

• Travel may be required to work between various AHK locations to support the business needs.
• You must be prepared to work in other locations with overnight stays where necessary.
