Our client, a specialist property practice based in Southwest London with a strong high-net-worth client base, is now seeking an experienced Accounts Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the firm's accounting and invoicing procedures in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and ensuring that the Client, Office, and other firm ledgers are accurately maintained and compliant with SRA regulations.
About the Role
Due to planned retirement, our client now seeks an experienced Accounts Manager with a solid track record. Your duties will include managing ledgers, handling bank reconciliations, producing month-end and management accounts, overseeing credit control and VAT returns, and coordinating with the firm's outsourced payroll function. You'll also liaise with auditors for annual accounts preparation, supervise Accounts Assistants, and assist with general office administration tasks such as stationery and equipment. This role calls for someone proactive and detail-oriented, with excellent client care skills and a readiness to support the management team in wider initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in law firm accounts, work confidently with minimal supervision, have strong computer and case management skills and preferably have worked in a Lexcel accredited firm; excellent planning, organisation, communication, integrity, and a proactive, positive attitude are essential.
