Are you looking for a new challenge for 2026? Alfold are a small village vets with a long-standing team working within a beautiful old, converted barn. The team consists of 2 permanent vets, practice manager and nurses, who all strive to offer a professional yet personal touch to pet care in the local village and surrounding areas.
Experience for this role is preferred but not essential as full training will be given, if needed, to the right candidate. We know that when it comes to client care, good communication skills, confidence and the ability to be able to reassure and support clients at difficult times, is vital. This is a job that does require the ability to multitask and prioritise jobs, liaising with the clinical team and often being a key person involved between the vet and client.
The is a new role after a period with no receptionists. This is an amazing opportunity for you to develop and grow and make the role your own. The position is for 40 hours per week, however this could be a full-time role for one person or split for two people to share the role.
Responsibilities
Receptionist roles and responsibilities:
- Receiving clients, greeting patients and providing a welcoming atmosphere in the reception area.
- Diary management.
- Taking payments/managing client accounts.
- Filing/scanning.
- Maintaining a clean reception area/ front of house for clients.
- Option to support with social media posts.
