An exciting opportunity to work within the theatre orderly team at the Freeman Hospital. You must be flexible to meet the needs of the service and cover a variety of shift patterns as necessary. You must be able to deal with the general public and have excellent communication skills.

Main duties
The post holder will be expected to work as part of a team of orderlies providing support to the theatre teams across the Trust, be accepting of change and be adaptable to the needs of the service.

Job Responsibilities
- The post holder will be responsible for the safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatres.
- Cleaning and care of patient trolleys.
- Checking and stocking of theatre facilities and assisting the theatre personnel as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- Must be literate.
- Good written and verbal communication.
Desirable
- Basic computer skills (EDCL/Keyboard Skills).
- Customer care skills.
- Previous healthcare experience.
- NVQ Level II in Operating Department Support.
