The Medical Electronics Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of a range of medical electronic devices, some of which are complex and technologically advanced requiring an in-depth knowledge of current engineering techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance, repair, calibration, and servicing of medical equipment within the hospital, community premises, and patients\’ homes.
- Acceptance test new equipment.
- Train medical and technical staff in the use of medical devices.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month\’s pay.
