Join our outstanding Obstetric Medicine Team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to contribute to a multidisciplinary team that includes obstetric physicians, lead obstetricians, consultant midwives, and other specialists.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert opinions on complex obstetric medicine cases, with independent responsibility for patient care at a tertiary center.
  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal ward rounds, offering specialist advice on peri-partum medical complications.
  • Engage with a broad patient base across multiple sites, including Freeman Hospital, RVI, and others, delivering high standards of healthcare.
  • Participate in the day-to-day management of the Maternal Medicine Centre and the North East, North Cumbria Maternal Medicine Network.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the network to ensure excellent patient care regardless of location.

Candidate Profile:

  • Clinical skills and enthusiasm for obstetric medicine.
  • Interest in working full-time, part-time, or job sharing.
  • Experience in managing complex medical conditions in pregnancy preferred.
