Join us, and bring everything you have to solve the most fulfilling problems on the market. As a Gold accredited Investor in People we have everything you need to propel your career to new heights. Inclusion is the beating heart of Alfa so whoever you are, you can show up as your best self every day - be that from home, from our offices, or a little bit of both. We've got the tech, we've got the opportunities, all we're missing is you.
What we'll do together
As our Director of Product, you'll lead Alfa's Product function and set the vision for Alfa Systems - the platform at the heart of some of the world's largest asset, auto and equipment finance businesses. You'll shape a product strategy that balances customer value, market opportunity, platform quality and commercial ambition, and translate it into a clear, prioritised investment roadmap. You'll own the product investment backlog, championing the right balance between strategic growth, new market opportunities, client-led enhancements, regulatory needs and platform quality. You'll lead and develop our Product Owners, help shape the next generation of product leaders, and evolve how product management works across the business. You'll also get out in front of our customers and the industry - building product collateral, sharing our roadmap and representing Alfa's product direction at events and through Alfa Connect.
How we'll work together
You'll report to our CTO and sit as a key member of the Product Engineering leadership team. You'll build a close, collaborative partnership with our Director of Markets, making sure market insight, customer trends and competitive intelligence directly inform where we invest. Day to day, you'll work hand in hand with Engineering, Delivery, Strategy and Revenue, and build strong feedback loops with Sales, Delivery and Client Account Management so everything we build stays grounded in what our customers actually need. You'll also manage Product's budget and resourcing, and foster a culture of collaboration, evidence-based decision-making and constructive challenge across the team.
The tools we'll use
You'll be the guardian of Alfa Systems, our single technology platform, while helping shape where AI, automation and data-driven capabilities take our product next - including how we approach buy-versus-build decisions and where we extend our platform through partnerships and integrations. Alongside modern product management tooling and practice, you'll help evolve how the whole organisation, not just your own team, does product.
What you'll bring to the team
- Significant experience in senior product leadership roles within enterprise software organisations
- A track record of defining and executing product strategy for complex B2B software platforms
- Confidence balancing strategic investment, customer requirements and technical considerations across a product portfolio
- Experience leading, developing and growing product management teams and senior professionals
- A strong grasp of software development processes and modern product management practice
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels of seniority
- Comfort working closely with commercial and customer-facing teams
- An understanding of AI, automation and where modern enterprise technology is heading
- Experience within asset, automotive or equipment finance
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
It would also be great, but isn't essential, if you have worked with platform products, modular architectures or ecosystem strategy, have contributed to industry thought leadership or customer-facing events, or bring a background in product engineering, solution architecture, consulting or strategy - or if you've worked in another regulated financial services market.
What we'll do for you
- Flexible hybrid or remote working
- 27 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and flexible cultural days
- Pension contribution match up to 6%
- Your choice of a Windows or Mac laptop
- Private health insurance and access to a private GP
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave with family-friendly policies
- Income protection
- Life, disability and worldwide travel insurance
- Interest-free loans of up to £10,000 after probation
