The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of initially four projects and all activities arising from the work across North Central & East London (NCEL) Perinatal and CAMHS Provider Collaboratives as well as NEL ICB Perinatal Improvement Network and ELFT Perinatal Services. The projects will aim to address inconsistencies within provision and treatments, while maintaining required variation according to local needs and demographics without detracting expertise and capacity from the system. Additionally, the work will aim to improve patient flow to minimise future impact on budgets, equip the staff in community and inpatient perinatal services to offer a more holistic, preventative and joined-up offer across NCEL footprint and contribute to meeting the NCEL Provider Collaboratives and their Partners aims and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improving patient flow and reducing length of stay on MBU.
  • Analysis of flow of the Mother & Baby Unit, causes of long/delayed discharges and review of community perinatal services to ensure effectiveness and equity.
  • Research into best practice for and modelling of In-reach and Out-reach Services.
  • Scoping models and best practice, reviewing effectiveness in terms of avoiding admission and the impact on length of stay.
  • Making recommendations around service changes for perinatal services across NCEL.
  • Community Perinatal Transformation: Remodeling ELFT Community Perinatal services to be consistent Nationally and locally, to remove duplication, resolve discrepancies and bring parity across borough boundaries.
  • Supporting NEL Inpatient Improvement Network to deliver improvements to staff training, sexual health and physical health screening in women's inpatient services.
  • Developing alternatives to admission for CAMHS Provider Collaborative; involving clinicians of inpatient and alternative providers to develop a consistent specification across NCEL footprint.
  • Project And Resource Management: Drive development, delivery and tracking of critical transformation projects, ensuring that key milestones are achieved.
  • Support the development of clinical and operational pathway-based proposals/business cases associated with the planned transformation agenda.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a range of programmes such that they rapidly become business as usual.
  • Lead on cost improvement and service development across the planned projects of the Provider Collaboratives and Partners.
  • Plan and implement proposed service change/s and transition to new models of care.
  • Undertake ad-hoc pieces of work that are critical to the planned projects or local health economy level strategy.
  • Data Analysis And Information Management: Analyse complex data sets, national and local standards and guidance to produce robust business cases and project plans.
  • Sourcing and using benchmarking and comparison data to influence decisions.
  • Ensure that all project documentation records and information are maintained for governance structures.
  • Network And Relationships: Support collaborative/ partnership working across all stakeholders and services.
  • Work closely with NCEL Provider Collaboratives, ICBs and Partners Clinical and Operations leads.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships across services to enable effective project delivery.
  • Planning And Organisation: Maintain robust project monitoring and control mechanisms.
  • Plan and manage project activities and events in accordance with the agreed Project Plan.
  • Ensure adherence to good practice in project management.
  • Deliver project monitoring and reporting in line with governance processes.
  • Communication: Engage with internal and external partners over sensitive and complex issues.
  • Act as a central point of contact on all significant matters relating to the planned projects.
  • Secure service user, carer and public voices in all elements of the workstream.
  • Work closely with the Trust Communications Team for staff and public facing communications.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects.
