We are seeking a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join Community Integrated Mental Health Service in South Newham. This is an opportunity to join an established service providing integrated mental health care with GP Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Newham.

Newham hosts a WHO Collaborating Centre (the only one specifically for Mental Health Service Development in the world) and the successful applicant will have opportunities for academic links with the Centre, and its large research group in social psychiatry and global mental health.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be enrolled on the Trust's highly regarded Improvement Science in Action training and will be encouraged to contribute to our unique Quality Improvement programme.

The post-holder will have overall clinical responsibility for service users on their caseload in their sub-team. They will lead on the delivery of high quality care in all settings; ensure policies and procedures are followed; develop close working links with GP colleagues in order to provide integrated holistic care; and develop close working links with the acute locality treatment wards ensuring the right care is provided in the right setting.
