About Us:
At Alfa Tail Lifts Ltd and Alfa Drop Box Ltd , we’ve been leaders in our field for over 31 years. We specialise in the repair and maintenance of wheelchair and commercial tail lifts, along with ancillary equipment such as steps, ramps, winches, heaters, and shutters. We’ve built a strong reputation for providing the highest level of service and we’re now looking for Mobile Service Engineers to join our growing team across the North , Midlands , South , and West of the UK.
The Role:
As a Mobile Service Engineer , you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, LOLER testing, and repairs on tail lifts and related equipment. Working out in the field, you’ll travel to our customers’ sites to provide them with the best service possible. This role is perfect for someone who likes to be hands-on and can manage their time well.
Experience is great, but we’re more interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide all the training you need, along with the tools, equipment, and support to do the job well. You’ll receive a company van, phone, iPad, uniform, and PPE, so you’ll be ready to go.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, LOLER testing, and repairs on a range of commercial and wheelchair tail lifts and ancillary equipment.
- Deliver excellent customer service with every visit, ensuring the equipment is safe, fully operational, and up to standard.
- Manage your own schedule, working independently while staying in touch with the team and customers.
- Follow safety and quality standards to ensure the highest level of service.

What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK driving license (required unless on our apprenticeship scheme).
- LOLER qualification preferred, but we can train you.
- Some experience in hydraulic/electro/mechanical engineering would be great, but it’s not essential.
- A strong work ethic , problem-solving ability, and a passion for helping customers.
- Ability to work independently , manage your tasks, and be organised.
