Alfa Holiday Group has an opportunity for a Resort-Based Coach Tour Driver to join the team working predominantly out of the North Wales area.
As a well-established coach tour operator, we offer tour work all year round. As a resort-based Coach Tour Driver you will ideally live within 1 hour of both Llandudno and Criccieth, which will allow you to spend your free time at home during your tour, whether this is for days off or in the evening, commuting using your coach. You will usually only be away from home for 1 or 2 nights per week, with the occasional 3 nights but this will be very rare. Whilst away, you will position for your next tour. Some tours will be away from home, which gives you the experience of other resorts and hotels but this will not be on a regular basis unless requested. Our aim is to provide resort-based drivers with a stable track of work for the year, allowing for a positive work-life balance, whilst enjoying the benefits of tour work. You will be paid an annual salary of £34,000, effective from 1st April.
As a Coach Tour Driver, you will be allocated your own coach once you have completed your initial training and your week will usually start by operating a feeder route into one of our seven interchanges situated throughout the country. You will then collect your passengers for onward travel to resort and will be responsible for the excursions through the week. As a tour driver, you play a pivotal role in our customers' holiday experience.
Our ideal candidate:
- Previous experience of operating Coach Tours would be great but not essential; we are looking for tour drivers of the future, so if you have the right licence get in touch.
- Customer focused at all times, caring, empathetic, approachable and helpful.
- A safe and efficient driver, being comfortable with the use of technology.
- Comfortable being away from home for short periods regularly.
Benefits of being an employee owner:
- Bi-annual tax-free dividend due to our employee-owned status (circa £1,500 FTE in 2025).
- Funding for any relevant training courses to aid your development.
- Job Security – our employee-owned status provides better job security, as we can't be sold to another company.
- Dependent on legal breaks you may also get the opportunity to earn additional money by offering optional excursions.
- Quarterly safe driving bonus with potential to earn an additional £800 for the year for safe and efficient driving.
- Annual CPC training.
- Full uniform provided.
- Free accommodation and meals whilst out on tour (away from home).
- Employee assistance programme – Health Assured.
- Provision to take partners on tour up to three times per year for no charge.
- Occupational Sick Pay Scheme.
- Discount scheme for our employees and their families/friends on both coach tours and hotel stays.
