In this vital role, you will be the visible face of safety in a busy retail environment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers while actively safeguarding staff, premises, and stock. Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional, highly visible deterrent presence on the shop floor to prevent loss and deter theft. Apply ASCONE criteria effectively to identify, monitor, and handle shoplifting incidents in line with retail policies. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting visitors, assisting members of the public, and representing the store professionally. Partner closely with store management teams and colleagues to ensure a safe, secure environment for employees and customers. Defuse conflict calmly, de-escalating tense situations and responding promptly to store emergencies. Follow strict compliance and security protocols, accurately completing incident reports and maintaining complete operational records. Required Skills & Experience A valid, current SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding). Proven right to work in the UK alongside a verifiable 5-year checkable work/education history. Excellent customer service skills with a smart, professional appearance and approach. Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict management situations effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with solid attention to detail when following procedures and guidelines.
