We are currently seeking a motivated and talented Family Lawyer with 1-3 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor or legal executive to manage a diverse caseload of private family matters while working alongside seasoned practitioners who are leaders in their field.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing clear, compassionate, and strategic legal advice to clients during challenging times. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, build your own professional network, and contribute to the continued success of a busy and respected department.
- Independently manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial provision, cohabitation disputes, and private law children matters.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive timely updates and empathetic guidance throughout their legal journey.
- Prepare high-quality legal documents, including petitions, financial statements (Form E), consent orders, and witness statements.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by participating in networking events, writing articles for the firm's blog, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
- Maintain accurate time recording and ensure all files are managed in strict accordance with SRA regulations and internal quality standards.
A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 1-3 years PQE in Family Law (candidates with slightly more or less experience who can demonstrate the required competencies will be considered). A solid understanding of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 and the Children Act 1989, along with current case law and procedural rules.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English to clients who may be under significant emotional stress. A commitment to the highest standards of professional conduct and a proactive approach to continuous professional development.
