About the Role
This full time role will be based at our Service Centre and offices currently in Camberley, Surrey.
The Service Centre Logistics & Operations Support will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and ensure the efficient handling of goods throughout the Service Centre. This role includes planning, documentation, deployment and managing of parts inventory, as well as ensuring the efficient shipment of goods. The Service Coordinator will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Coordinate the shipment of goods, including tracking and ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Receiving Deliveries: Check and verify goods received against purchase orders
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Stock Organisation: Store goods in designated areas and ensure they are easily accessible
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies, ensure goods are counted and validated against delivery notes
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain records of all warehouse activities, addressing any issues or discrepancies in inventory promptly
- Prepare orders for dispatch according to customer requirements.
- Manage inventory of parts, ensuring availability and location is known
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory management systems regularly
- Generate shipping labels and documentation (e.g., delivery notes, courier manifests).
- Coordinate with couriers and transport providers for timely collections.
- Ensure all outbound goods are accurately recorded, photographed and tracked.
- Prepare and submit customs documentation for imports and exports in accordance with UK and international regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
- Monitor shipments and resolve any customs-related delays or issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements (e.g., UK Global Tariff, Incoterms).
- Ensure accurate classification of goods using HS codes and maintain product databases.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Procurement, Warehouse) to gather necessary shipping and compliance information.
- Maintain detailed records of all customs transactions and shipping documentation.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports.

You have a good understanding of inventory management, logistics and stock control.You have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise independently and multitask with effective time management. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and other stakeholders. You are a problem solver! You have the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, together with strong analytical skills to assess service performance and implement improvements.You work collaboratively with others and the ability to understand other department processes and where you are able, enhance efficiencies. You commit to providing exceptional customer service and understand and align business priorities with work activities. You are adaptable, you have flexibility to adapt to changing service demands and priorities, a willingness to learn and implement new processes and technologies and flex working priorities and activities to support other areas of the business. A familiarity with warehouse management systems, a good knowledge of UK import/export regulations and customs procedures would allow for the success in this role.
