About the job

In the Product and Supply Chain Value Stream, we work end-to-end to ensure product information is consistent, secure, and available throughout the product lifecycle. By doing so, we enable both a holistic and detailed digital view of our supply chain - based on correct product information. Our ambition is to shape and live a flexible, platform-driven organization with shared processes and seamless data flows. This will enable Alfa Laval to gain real-time insights into product lifecycle status, cost, availability and demand, as well as making faster, more data-driven decisions.

We build teams with the ability to operate across engineering, supply chain, sales & service and other contexts. We foster a culture of transparency, shared ownership, and continuous improvement, supported by regular alignments, collaboration, and an agile mindset.

Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, architecting end-to-end PLM and CAD integrations, and ensuring seamless data flow across global engineering and manufacturing operations. You'll drive process optimization, support the adoption of new technologies, and ensure that Alfa Laval's product data is managed efficiently and securely throughout its lifecycle.

Objective

To leverage deep expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to architect and deliver innovative, scalable solutions that optimize product development processes, enhance collaboration, and drive digital transformation. The goal is to align technology strategies with business objectives, streamline workflows from concept to manufacturing, and ensure seamless integration of CAD systems with PLM platforms, ultimately accelerating time-to-market and improving product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect End-to-End PLM Solutions: Design and implement PLM systems that integrate seamlessly with CAD tools and other enterprise applications.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • System Integration: Ensure smooth data flow between CAD, PLM, ERP, and other systems.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and streamline product development workflows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide development teams on best practices, standards, and solution frameworks.
  • Vendor & Tool Evaluation: Assess and recommend CAD/PLM tools and technologies.
  • Change Management: Support user adoption and training for new systems and processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear architecture diagrams, integration maps, and technical documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee solution testing, validation, and continuous improvement.

What you know

  • Deep Knowledge of PLM & CAD: Expertise in platforms like Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Integration Experience: Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and data migration strategies.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and optimizing complex systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Security & Compliance: Understanding of data security, IP protection, and regulatory requirements.
