Hours that offer flexibility:

You’ll work across our Head Office in Buckshaw Village and our Coach Depot in Wheelton, just 4 miles away:

• Buckshaw Village – 4.5 hours per week: Saturday afternoon/evening, starting no earlier than 4.30pm, or Sunday morning, finishing by 10am.
• Wheelton – 1.5 hours per week: Any day of the week, ideally between 10am and 4pm.

The hours at each site can be worked on different days, giving you flexibility to agree a regular routine.

Additional cover is an essential part of this role. You’ll need to work at least 10 extra hours per week for a minimum of six weeks each year to cover our full-time cleaner’s time off. These hours will be paid at the usual hourly rate and will be agreed in advance where possible.

What you’ll be doing:

Taking pride in the appearance of our workplaces, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout our offices, kitchens, toilets and shared spaces. Your tasks will include:

• Cleaning desks, surfaces, computer monitors and office equipment.
• Vacuuming floors, mopping and dusting.
• Thoroughly cleaning toilets and replenishing supplies.
• Cleaning kitchens, appliances and fridges.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste and recycling correctly.
• Keeping communal areas tidy, hygienic and welcoming.

What we’re looking for:

We’d love to hear from you if you’re reliable, take pride in a job well done and are comfortable working independently.

You’ll need:

• A good eye for detail and a proactive approach to cleaning.
• An understanding of COSHH guidelines and the safe use of cleaning products.
• The motivation to manage your time and work without supervision.
• The ability to travel reliably to both Chorley sites.
• Flexibility to work the additional cover hours outlined above.
