Overview
We are currently seeking an Estimator ideally from a Civil Engineering background to work for our prestigious client who work in the construction and civil engineering industry. Their existing commercial team are growing exponentially and now need additional help with all the duties an Estimator carries out.
Duties
- Estimate Civil Engineering projects (think structural, drainage and earthworks)
- Liaise with the Senior/Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers
- Carry out site surveys when required
- Be part of the tendering process
- Be a point of contact for the design engineers
- Maintain relationships with clients
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations are met.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction/civil engineering industry
- A good range of experience across various projects such as drainage, earthworks, structures etc
- Ability to coordinate and liaise with other Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers and Commercial Managers
- Excellent organisational skills
- Have a positive attitude as the job is hard work as you know
- A suitable industry qualification will always be looked upon favourably.
