Our client is an established Building Services contractor who has secured significant projects with a high level of Electrical factors. This senior leadership role is responsible for the technical authority, strategic growth, and high-level delivery of all electrical systems across a variety of complex UK construction projects. This is a senior-level appointment for an individual looking to influence the technical direction of a respected contractor. The role offers the autonomy to shape the electrical department's processes and the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most challenging and prestigious engineering schemes.
The Role
- The Head of Electrical Engineering will provide the primary technical steer for the electrical department, ensuring that design and installation standards remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Technical Authority: Acting as the final point of approval for electrical designs, ensuring strict adherence to BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant CIBSE/BSRIA codes of practice.
- System Integration: Overlooking the seamless integration of power distribution, lighting control, fire detection, and security systems within the wider building fabric.
- Operational Management: Managing departmental resources, setting engineering standards, and ensuring that all electrical packages are delivered on time and within budget.
