We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands region. Working for a well-established Construction Equipment dealership, you will be responsible for selling a range of construction equipment and power generation solutions into the Construction, Industrial, and Waste & Recycling markets. This role is focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts, and strengthening the company’s presence across the region through a consultative, solutions-led sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop sales activity across the Midlands territory
- Sell a range of construction equipment and power generation products, including associated service and support offerings
- Identify and convert new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
- Build strong relationships with end users, plant managers, site managers, and procurement teams
- Conduct regular customer visits, site surveys, and equipment demonstrations
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and tenders
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in B2B field sales, ideally within construction equipment, plant hire, power generation, or a related sector
- Strong understanding of the Construction, Industrial, and/or Waste & Recycling markets
- Ability to manage a regional territory independently and effectively
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience working for a construction equipment dealership
- Knowledge of excavators, loaders, telehandlers, crushers, screeners, or generators
- Existing customer network within the Midlands region
