ALF Recruit are exclusively supporting an established and highly respected independent Accountancy Practice based near Chorley as they look to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody either currently studying AAT or recently AAT qualified and looking to progress further with ACCA or ACA studies within a genuinely supportive and development-focused environment. The business has built an outstanding reputation both internally for staff development and externally for delivering excellent service levels to a loyal and long-standing client base.

  • Β£25,000 – Β£28,000 DOE

The Role:

  • Working as part of an experienced and supportive team, responsibilities will include:
  • Client bookkeeping using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
  • Preparation of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
  • VAT returns and MTD submissions
  • Liaising directly with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Supporting senior members of the team across wider accounting duties

The Candidate:

  • Either studying AAT or AAT qualified
  • Looking to continue studies towards ACCA or ACA
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment preferred
  • Good communication skills and confident dealing with clients
  • Experience using Xero or similar software advantageous
