ALF are proud to be working with a growing, and value-led business within the Care and Education sector, they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join, to help support Operational Leaders across Multi-Site National Business. This is a High-Impact role where you’ll work closely with Senior Stakeholders to manage complex Employee Relations Matters, Improve Engagement and Retention, and help shape a positive, high-performing culture across the organisation.
You’ll combine strong employment law knowledge with a pragmatic, people-first approach – coaching leaders through challenges while using Data and Insight to influence Business Decisions and Drive Continuous improvement.

Role:
Reporting into the Head of Employee Relations and Engagement, you’ll partner with Operational and Support Service Leaders to ensure Employee Relation issues are managed effectively, compliantly, and compassionately. You’ll take ownership of complex ER Casework across Division, provide commercially focused advice and coaching to managers, and support wider People Initiatives around Engagement, Wellbeing, and Leadership, Development, and Retention. This is a varied position that combines operational ER Expertise with strategic Business Partnering and Project work.
- Managing Complex ER Casework including Disciplinaries, Grievances, Absence Management, Restructures, TUPE, Redundancies, and Employment Tribunals
- Coaching and Supporting Managers through Employee Relations processes
- Ensuring cases are managed in line with SLAs and escalating High-Risk Matters appropriately
- Monitoring Absence, Attrition, and Engagement trends using People Data and Analytics
- Producing Regular Reports and Regional Reviews for Senior Stakeholders
- Supporting Engagement Initiatives including Listening Groups, Surveys, Wellbeing Activity, and Leadership Development
- Partnering with Operational Leaders to improve Performance, Stability, and Retention across Services
- Promoting Best Practice across Performance Management, Induction, Probation, and Supervision Processes
Profile:
- Strong Employee Relations experience handling complex casework through to Employment Tribunal Level
- Up-to date Employment Knowledge
- Experience operating within a regulated environment
- Ability to use people data and metrics to influence decision and identify trends
- CIPD Qualification desirable but not essential
- Previous involvement in HR Projects and Change Initiatives
