ALF are excited to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking organisation within the Care and Education sector in the search for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join their people team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced L&D Professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders to drive learning initiatives, enhance leadership capability, and support the ongoing development of colleagues across a diverse, multi-site organisation.
You must have a strong track record in Learning and Development within an Education Setting and ideally have worked within a teaching role prior. Working closely with Senior Leaders and Operational teams, you'll design and deliver impactful learning initiatives, support leadership capability, oversee apprenticeship and compliance training programmes, and use insight and engagement data to influence development priorities across the business.

The Role:
Reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition & Development, you'll act as a trusted learning and development partner across the organisation, supporting managers and operational teams with high-quality learning solutions aligned to business objectives and regulatory requirements. This is a varied role combining Strategic Business Partnering, hands-on training delivery, apprenticeship coordination, and learning systems management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with Operational and Support Service Leaders to identify learning needs and development priorities
- Designing and delivering engaging learning interventions including workshops, toolkits, eLearning, and learning development programmes
- Supporting a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement across the organisation
- Coordinating and quality assuring induction programmes and ongoing CPD Activity
- Managing relationships with external Training Providers to ensure quality and value for money
- Maintaining and administering Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring training compliance and accurate reporting
- Producing regular training, compliance, and performance reports for senior stakeholders
- Supporting apprenticeship programmes, learner progression and internal development pathways
Profile:
- Proven experience within a Learning and Development Role, must be within Education
- Experienced designing and delivering blended learning solutions and development programmes
- Strong stakeholder management
- Excellent IT skills – familiarity with Learning Management Systems and Training Compliance Reporting
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Ofsted, CQC, or Skills for Care would be advantageous
- CIPD Level 5 not essential but desirable.
