Purpose:
Alexion UK & Ireland aims to use artificial intelligence responsibly to accelerate innovation, improve decision-making and enable colleagues to focus on the work that develops the greatest value for patients, customers and the rare disease healthcare ecosystem. The Director, Commercial & Medical AI Transformation will lead the strategy, prioritisation, adoption and expansion of generative AI and AI-agent workflows across Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs in Alexion UK & Ireland.
This leadership role involves product transformation and AI in business and healthcare. It focuses on identifying where AI can automate, augment, or redesign key activities throughout the product lifecycle. These activities range from early disease-area planning and pre‑launch preparation to launch, in‑market optimization, indication expansion, and lifecycle management. This role involves translating priority business needs into practical AI solutions and collaborating with internal and external partners to pilot, evaluate and scale them.
