Im recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join on a full time permanent basis. You will be responsible for the below duties:
- Financial Management & Bookkeeping: Manage bank reconciliations across multiple companies, including bank accounts and credit card transactions. Post and allocate payments/receipts. Process month-end financial tasks such as recharges, prepayments, depreciation, and disposals. Maintain payment folders for different locations. Enter purchasing and sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and check supplier statements. Process VAT returns monthly. Work with auditors on year-end financial accounts.
- Payroll & Timesheets: Send, check, and chase timesheets for employees, self-employed and contractors. Process weekly payroll for self-employed workers and contractors. Set up new employees for holiday/absence management. Process monthly salaries for full-time employees.
- Administration & Compliance: Manage supplier payments by bank transfer and cheque. Send customer statements and remittances monthly. Handle correspondence related to new agreements (e.g., land rent, hire purchase agreements). Renew insurance policies and tax company vehicles. Arrange travel for the Managing Director.
- Inventory & Procurement: Source and negotiate diesel pricing. Purchase items such as stationery, cleaning materials, packaging, and printing supplies. Track produce sales and verify bulk sale tickets against invoices.
Skills & Requirements: Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial administration. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
