Our client is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to take a key role within their Liverpool operations—supporting the delivery of high-quality maintenance, driving operational reliability, and playing a vital part in keeping their world-class operation moving.
THE ROLE
In this position, you will oversee a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the business unit. You will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment across operational areas, ensuring that all duties are completed to a high standard while prioritising safety at all times.
The role includes delivering all aspects of maintenance, statutory compliance, installation, and commissioning of new equipment. You will also work closely with engineering and operational teams and ensure full compliance with PUWER, PSSR, COSHH, LOLER and DSEAR requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate a multi-skilled maintenance team.
- Maintain plant and equipment safely and efficiently across operational areas.
- Deliver statutory maintenance compliance, installation and commissioning activities.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and operational departments.
- Ensure compliance with all client policies and statutory legislation.
- Prioritise safety and consistently uphold high operational standards.
- Manage and work with specialist contractors and preferred suppliers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Experience leading and managing multi-functional, multi-skilled engineering teams in heavy industry or similar environments.
- Knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments.
- Experience producing Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective internal and external working relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and experience in Continuous Improvement strategies.
- Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
- Full valid driving licence.
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
