Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations related to boiler production, repair, and related engineering activities.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
  • Implement and maintain operational processes, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across production, troubleshooting, and maintenance of boiler systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, and work packages; ensure engineering accuracy and feasibility.
  • Assist in developing technical and commercial proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Work with sales and commercial teams to scope projects, define technical requirements, and estimate resources and timelines.
  • Provide expert input to help win projects and enhance customer confidence.
  • Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow planning.
  • Drive quality assurance, ensuring production output meets standards and customer expectations.
  • Oversee site safety procedures and promote best-practice HSE culture.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in a General Manager, Production Engineer, Operations Manager, or similar role in the engineering or boiler sector.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in a site-based environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting commercial proposals or tender submissions.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding, pressure systems, or boiler manufacturing processes.
