We are looking for a customer-focused candidate - previous GP experience is helpful, but not essential - to join our small team of receptionists/administrators.

Alexandra Surgery is based in the heart of Wimbledon SW19 with shops and amenities on our doorstep and less than 5 minutes walk from the train/underground station and bus routes. Parking also available.

Main duties of the job

First point of contact for patients on the phone and in person

Dealing with day to day patient correspondence/patient enquiries

Scanning/electronic filing

Liaising with hospitals

Job responsibilities

Looking for a part-time receptionist as detailed above. Please note we will not be able to consider applications from patients who are currently registered with our surgery.

Hours are fixed 1-6:30 (22 hours a week) Tues - Friday.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Must be able to demonstrate good levels of numeracy and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

Experience

  • Previous experience in a gp surgery, or in a customer focused role helpful.

Personality

  • Patient and calm.
  • Kind and Polite
  • Service-orientated.
  • Must have good IT skills.
  • Flexibility to cover morning-shifts when required.
