Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the hotel and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.

Represent the general management team in the absence of a senior manager.

Responsible for all aspects of the hotel and guest security, practicing due diligence and reporting lapses to the appropriate line manager.

Ensuring the co-ordination of the hotel team and guests in the event of a fire evacuation. Recording false alarms and communicating potential hazards.

Evaluating and resolving customer queries and problems where possible. Situations which cannot be solved should be passed to the senior management team.

Checking department rotas at the beginning of each shift to ensure that adequate staff are available to meet customer needs.

Carring out regular inspections of guest and team member areas to ensure that they are presentable and safe for the intended use.

Assist at reception as and when necessary.

Assist in the restaurant at busy times to support the existing team.

Oversee the smooth running of all events.

Oversee the cashing up and close down procedure. Ensure that the tills balance and investigate all discrepancies.

Comply with all statutory requirements regarding Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, welfare at work, and equality legislation.

Assist in the implementation of new service standards and ensure that they are maintained.

Report all emergencies and complaints using the procedure stated by the hotel.

Aware of guests’ needs at all times and make available knowledge and resources to meet these requirements.

Ensure standards of uniform and hygiene are adhered to.

Represent the hotel and department to the highest standards, ensuring that every guest is treated with utmost respect and spoken to in a polite and courteous manner.

There will be some office work that will be required.
