Scheduling Coordinator
Salary: £29,000 per annum + £1,000 bonus
Location: Office-based
Company: Alexandras Community Care
Help us deliver reliable, consistent care across Cornwall.
Behind every successful homecare visit is a well-organised team making sure the right care professional is in the right place at the right time.
At Alexandras Community Care, we're looking for an organised, confident and proactive Scheduling Coordinator to help keep our care services running smoothly.
This is a busy and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same. You'll be balancing schedules, responding to unexpected changes and working closely with our care teams to ensure the people we support receive reliable, consistent care.
What you'll be doing
As our Scheduling Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
-
Planning and managing care rotas, making sure visits are covered by suitably trained care staff.
-
Responding to changing needs, from staff sickness and emergency cover to new care packages and hospital discharges.
-
Supporting continuity of care, helping service users receive support from familiar care professionals wherever possible.
-
Coordinating staff availability and travel, creating efficient schedules that work for both our care teams and service users.
-
Keeping everyone informed, communicating rota changes and working closely with carers, Care Coordinators and management.
-
Monitoring care visits and maintaining accurate records, helping identify and resolve scheduling issues promptly.
-
Taking part in our shared on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required.
You’ll also manage a small continuity caseload and help identify staffing challenges before they affect care delivery.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who enjoys organising, problem-solving and working with people. You’ll need to stay calm when priorities change and be confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
You'll need:
-
Strong organisational and time management skills.
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
-
Confidence using computer systems and scheduling software.
-
Experience using electronic rostering or care management systems.
-
The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly.
Previous experience in homecare or health and social care, along with an understanding of continuity of care, would be an advantage.
