A leading UK design-and-build contractor serving multiple water sector clients is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to help deliver safe, efficient and high-quality engineering solutions across major treatment and infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure fully coordinated, compliant and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Create cost-effective civil design layouts that meet specifications and are practical to construct and commission.
- Apply established design standards to maintain consistency and quality.
- Provide technical input, estimates, and support to proposal teams.
- Follow and contribute to improving departmental processes and procedures.
- Coordinate designs with internal and external engineering disciplines.
- Support a customer-focused approach across project delivery.
- Integrate environmental considerations into all design work.
- Ensure designs fully comply with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment principles.
- HND in a relevant engineering discipline (degree preferred).
- Ability to rationalise designs and create efficient plant layouts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with varied technical data.
- Confident communicator able to present technical proposals clearly.
- Strong computer literacy.
