Are you dedicated to healthcare and passionate about delivering excellent service? We are looking for a motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. This is an entry level opportunity to work in a pharmacy. Training and support will be provided to the right candidate. Experience in healthcare and customer services would be an advantage.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support the overall operations of the pharmacy. You will be expected to work flexibly and cover any one of our 3 sites within Wrexham.
Responsibilities:- Provide over the counter services and sale and supply of medicines to patients.
- Maintain stock on shop floor.
- Provide clear, accurate and sensitive information to patients about their medicines where appropriate.
- Assist in dispensing and preparation of prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Conduct regular checks on medication expiry dates and ensure proper disposal of expired products.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Pharmacy Dispenser qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) or training provided for right candidate.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant technology.
