Principal Objective Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the production operations and quality standards in the manufacturing of the timber frame kits. The Shift Supervisor will liaise with production and management to ensure hourly and shift production targets are met whilst encouraging/supporting continuous improvement. Knowledge & Experience Experience within timber frame, manufacturing, or a production environment, preferably in a supervisory or senior operator capacity Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and workflow management Proven ability to coordinate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience identifying and resolving operational or quality issues in real time Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work on a shift-based system and adapt to changing production demands Key Responsibilities Coordinate production activities across the timber frame factory Maximise throughput and efficiency of materials and labour utilisation Direct responsibility for people management of the team recruitment, onboarding, training, development and performance management Manage attendance, timekeeping, and general workforce discipline Drive a culture of continuous improvement amongst the team Verify all work is carried out in line with health & safety requirements Ensure all work complies with established quality control standards through regular checks and monitoring Oversee the accuracy of documentation associated with timber frame manufacturing and loading Promote a culture of right-first-time quality across the team Liaise with maintenance to ensure tasks are completed and to resolve issues efficiently Essential Competencies Experience of timber frame manufacturing Strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
