Alexanders Timber Design is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer for the house building sector and one of the key business units of Glennon Brothers, a leading timber processor in the UK & Ireland with a strong growth story. We are a growing and expanding business with further ambitious growth ahead of us. As a leader in the Green Tech industry, our bespoke facility in Irvine is equipped with a manufacturing line that has state-of-the-art technology.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator will play a key part in the planning, coordination and delivery of our Timber Frame and Roof Truss products to our customers. A key aspect of the role will be maintaining the delivery programme in line with the manufacturing production lines to fulfil customer orders on time.
Responsibilities
- Manage delivery programme:
- Managing and updating weekly and daily haulage programme
- Coordinate all manufacturing and cutting activities
- Ensuring all works orders/backorders for production, trusses, steel etc. are available and in order of manufacture and checked twice daily for accuracy
- Update the manufacturing schedule to provide live overview of production status
- Liase with all key stakeholders on production progress
- Undertake dispatching of production orders, ensure loaded works are complete and of good quality, ensuring load photographs are stored in the correct folder
- Provide forward outlook reports to identify increases in demand to ensure manning is balanced across shifts and escalate if additional manning is required
- Load job orders into hsbMake
- Ensuring hsbMake reflects the manufacturing and cutting priorities
- Liase with hsbMake on issues that occur in the system and work to resolve in timely manner
- Provide training to new and existing employees as needed
- Implementing any updates to hsbMake system
- Investigate and root cause production deviations
- Implement effective corrective and preventive actions
- Trend analysis of deviation cause codes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Train/coach production staff on implementation of improvement opportunities
- Coordinate the works of production planning hsbMake & Randek line
- Ensure all CDM/Drawing packs are sent with dispatched load
- Provide training and support as needed
