We are working exclusively with a leading chilled food manufacturer that supplies a range of products to retailers across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Quality professional as Quality Manager at their large facility in Hertfordshire.

  • £48,000 - £55,000

The role:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products consistently meet internal quality standards and comply with food safety regulations, including HACCP and BRC. You will lead a dedicated quality control team, oversee inspections, testing, and audits across all stages of production, and maintain robust quality documentation and reporting systems. A key part of the role involves managing supplier quality, addressing customer complaints with a solutions-focused approach, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a vital role in upholding hygiene and sanitation standards and managing any quality-related risks, helping to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality produce to our customers.

The candidate:

  • At least 3 years experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role in a food manufacturing environment
  • A Food Science degree is desirable
  • HACCP level 3+ and Food Safety level 3+
  • Excellent working knowledge of BRC
