A reputable food manufacturing business is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for their site. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team, in a multifaceted role encompassing design, maintenance support, fabrication, and providing rapid response to equipment breakdowns.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for designing, modifying, and maintaining mechanical equipment on site.
- Ensure that all fabricated and welded components meet food industry standards.
- Carry out in-house repairs and provide rapid response to equipment breakdowns requiring welding, fabrication, or machining.
- Create CAD drawings for reference and future use, and machine parts to put into stock.
- Conduct repairs and improvements to ensure equipment reliability, minimise breakdowns, and extend the lifespan of critical assets.
- Oversee and maintain various systems including tortilla lines, chips lines, packaging equipment, silos, pumps, and mixers.
On offer:
- Annual Salary of £47,500
- Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours p.w - days)
- Includes Sick Pay, Death in Service, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
