The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business with a strong heritage and reputation for quality. With deep roots in the UK food industry and a growing customer base both nationally and internationally, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that genuinely values its people and craft.
They are now looking to bring in an experienced EHS Advisor to support and strengthen their Health, Safety & Environmental function across multiple sites.
The Role
- Working closely with the wider HSE team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are embedded across the business.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant UK HSE legislation and maintaining legal registers
- Conducting regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments across site
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture across all levels of the business
- Supporting and advising managers on best practice and compliance
- Managing health surveillance programmes
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE role within manufacturing (FMCG or food preferred)
- NEBOSH qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Environmental knowledge and practical experience
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Auditing experience
- Experience with environmental permits
