Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading consumer goods business that has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sourcing to lead a team of sourcing and costing professionals to strategic outcomes and savings delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development, implementation, and communication of global sourcing strategies to ensure a standard approach across all categories.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure advantageous terms and ensure the continuity of supply.
- Ensure that commercial, yet profitable product ranges are developed and bought, to maximise profit and sales.
- Liaise with Stores, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships, ensuring that sales are maximised in line with the overall strategy.
- Monitor global market trends, identifying impacts on supply and demand, and adjusting strategies to leverage market conditions.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree or similar tertiary qualification in Fashion, Procurement, Business Management or equivalent.
- Demonstrated Buying, Sourcing, Product Range and Category management experience within a consumer goods environment.
- Experience sourcing and buying products from the Far East.
- People leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach a dynamic team.
- Project management experience, liaising with innovation and product development teams.
- Good communication skills and the ability to present ideas to a broad range of stakeholders.
