Engineering Shift Lead for a well-established food manufacturing business in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer or Engineering Team Leader to take responsibility for leading the engineering function on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining high standards across the site.
The Role
- Leading and supporting the Engineering team on shift
- Managing reactive and planned maintenance activities
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
- Providing technical support across electrical and mechanical issues
- Ensuring engineering standards, procedures and safe working practices are maintained
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Working closely with Production to resolve technical issues
About You
You will have strong electrical and mechanical engineering experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, alongside previous experience of leading or supervising an engineering team. You will be a confident decision-maker with a hands-on approach, strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy production environment. Food/FMCG experience would be advantageous, but engineers from other high-volume manufacturing environments will also be considered.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
