Alexander Steele is currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Lead for a leading global food manufacturer with sites across the UK. Our client has made significant progress in the last two years and is now positioned as the market leader in their sector for both UK and overseas customers.

With the business growing rapidly, there is a great need for innovation and further efficiency. Along with sustained investment, our client now requires a Continuous Improvement professional to lead the C.I./Lean agenda across their key site near Cwmbran.

This role will report to the Manufacturing Director, with a salary of £50,000 plus benefits.

The role operates on a Monday to Friday basis, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm , with some flexibility expected as required.

The Role

  • The Continuous Improvement Lead drives sustainable improvements, delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) , while fostering cultural change throughout the organization.
  • The CI Lead collaborates closely with Operations and department employees to achieve results. This position requires strong Lean Manufacturing and hands-on leadership skills, along with a passion for Operational Excellence.

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least two years of experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally within food manufacturing or other FMCG sectors.
  • Experience in a standalone, C.I., Lean, or Business Improvement role.
  • Ability to identify problems and a strong drive to solve them.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven team player with effective collaboration skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of C.I. initiatives and LEAN tools.
