A leading food manufacturing business, based in West Yorkshire, is looking to recruit a L&D / Training Manager.
On Offer:
- Β£45,000 - Β£50,000

Role Purpose:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of operational training programs within the food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to maintain compliance, drive operational excellence, and support a culture of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy focused on operational training for production, quality, and safety teams.
- Align training initiatives with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Design and deliver training programs for factory operations, including food safety, hygiene, equipment handling, and process optimization.
- Create engaging learning materials (e.g., SOPs, e-learning modules, hands-on workshops).
- Ensure training content meets compliance standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, BRC).
- Establish and maintain a skills matrix for all operational roles.
- Monitor employee competency levels and implement targeted development plans.
- Collaborate with Production, Technical, and HR teams to identify training needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in L&D / Operational Training within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, BRC).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
