I am delighted to present this exclusive mandate to the market. Alexander Steele has partnered exclusively once again with a globally recognised food brand to help secure the services of a Head of Manufacturing & Logistics for a key site in the N/W of England.
The Role: After a significant delivery of investment to this key site, our partner is looking to install a dynamic & highly skilled site lead who can deliver outstanding performance across a number of key deliverables including cost, efficiency, customer service, continuous improvement and overall site profitability. The role will report to the Group Operations & Supply Chain Director. You will have the benefit of leading a stable & high performing team, albeit we are looking for a leader who will come in and help to nurture, drive & elevate this established SLT.
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional leader with a proven background leading Production, Logistics, Freight & Warehouse within Food Manufacturing, Food Service or from National QSR operations.
- You must have led an in-house/group transport team; having managed only a 3PL agreement/relationship will not suffice.
- Exposure to working in a complex & highly automated distribution & freight operation, either within a manufacturing site or leading this through a 3PL relationship, is essential.
- Track record of delivering and maintaining an optimum H&S culture within the sites you have led, with clear evidence of this. This is also essential.
- Must have P&L ownership experience, with an acute ability to control & save costs.
- A leader with real gravitas, able to engage & manage stakeholders at all levels but be comfortable operating in a network operation.
- Excellent track record driving C.I, Lean or Manufacturing Excellence culture with evidence of what you have delivered in your career.
