Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor looking for your next challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing food manufacturer in Lancashire at a pivotal time. With plans to expand warehousing facilities and implement digital systems, this role offers a genuine opportunity to make your mark and lead the transformation of warehouse operations.
The role:
- You’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the warehouse, including freezer and ambient storage areas.
- Managing a team of five warehouse operatives, you’ll ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations across all shifts.
- This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll also play a key part in piloting and rolling out a new warehousing system, moving the site away from paper and Excel toward a digital future.
- Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with production, supply chain, and health & safety teams to ensure materials are where they need to be, when they need to be, while maintaining a safe and well-organised warehouse.
- You’ll also have a say in how a new warehousing facility is developed and run, including input into layout, systems, and freezer operations.
What we are looking for:
- Strong leadership experience in a warehouse management role, ideally in food or FMCG.
- Comfortable with traditional warehousing practices and ready to drive digital transformation.
- Confident managing warehouse staff, including absence, holidays, and HR processes.
- Hands-on approach – able to jump on a forklift if needed.
- Strong understanding of stock control, wastage reduction, and warehouse layout efficiency.
- Knowledge of SAP or other WMS would be a bonus.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to solve problems creatively and cost-effectively.
