A food manufacturer based in Aberdeen has an opening for a Technical Account Manager to advise, manage, and maintain all technical information to meet the present customer and legal requirements.
Duties:
- Main point of day-to-day contact for all customers.
- Ensure all technical communication to the customer is joined up and aligned with the business key functions (Commercial, NPD/Process, Operations, Technical and Supply Chain).
- Communicate to business all customer technical requirements and requests, challenging where relevant and resolve issues at pace.
- Lead customer initiatives, ensuring projects are communicated effectively and within the agreed timescales.
- Work in collaboration and with the site to deliver a consistent reduction in complaints and communicate trends.
- Ensure complaint responses are completed in a timely manner with effective root cause analysis.
- Manage all technical customer visits to site and within the supply base.
- Ownership and support during new product development from innovation to product launch including:-
- Attending product trials
- Preparation and management of Customer specific specifications
- Preparation and maintenance of QAS
- Shelf-Life approval
- Nutritional review
- Cooking validation review
- Artwork Approval
- Completion of internal audits.
- Export documentation
Essential:
- Proficient in the completion of customer specifications
- Well presented.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal & written.
- Excellent attention to detail, people skills and organisation skills
- Ability to operate successfully in a fast-changing environment.
- Problem solving: A focused, pragmatic approach to solving problems. Able to use root cause analysis to identify, assess and select the most appropriate course of action to resolve issues.
- Degree educated. (desirable)
