We’re partnering with a growing food manufacturing business in Surrey to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to lead food safety, quality and compliance across the site. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a fast-paced environment where you’ll play a key role in shaping standards, driving continuous improvement and building a strong technical culture throughout the operation. The business is looking for someone who enjoys being visible on the factory floor, influencing teams across all departments and taking ownership of site-wide technical performance.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Leading site food safety, quality and compliance strategy
  • Managing and developing the HACCP and QMS systems
  • Driving GMP, hygiene and audit standards across the operation
  • Leading customer and third-party audits, maintaining BRC standards
  • Managing supplier approval and raw material compliance processes
  • Supporting NPD launches from concept through to factory implementation
  • Investigating quality issues and implementing preventative actions
  • Developing technical KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Building and developing a high-performing technical team

About you:

  • Proven experience within a Technical Manager position in food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety and quality management systems
  • Experience working within a BRC accredited environment
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-moving, changing business
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions focused approach
  • Passion for driving standards and continuous improvement
